Family Run Business
We are a family run business who has an undying passion for what we do. What was established in 2019 as a "father/Son" partnership has quickly grown into a full functioning business with multiple teams and vehicles on the road.
We specialize in commercial as well as residential maintenance and renovations where we have become the designated maintenance team for multiple hotels and property groups around the Western Cape. Having said that, we have not forgotten our roots and do have an independent team that specializes in residential maintenance and full renovations.

Matt Imbriolo
After achieving his diploma in project management in 2016 Matt did his internship at a large civil engineering firm. Matt then went onto being the project manager of a local company in Cape Town who are interior designers/installers where he managed multiple sites from the start to finish of each project. Matt then did 3 years in London, United Kingdom where he was a businessman development manager for a large corporate company where he had to manage large budget's and day to day runnings of clients affiliated to the company. After returning back to SA Matt felt there was an opportunity in the market for a well knowledgeable maintenance and renovations company. In 2019 IMS was born and has been thriving ever since.
Site Foreman
Vincent Imbriolo
Vincent had originally qualified as a Turner machinist in 1976 at the dock yard in Cape Town. Vincent had always had a passion for "home improvements" and being a multi skilled "old school" tradesmen it was like a duck to water. Vincent had gone onto multiple companies around Cape Town where he managed teams that specialised in Waterproofing as well as being the artisan that overlooked other tradesmen work before signing off sites or production. Vincent is now the site foreman at IMS ensuring that all on going projects are running smoothly and completed by given deadlines.
You will know when Vincent is on a site due to his charismatic and friendly personality. With an infectious smile to match.

Shaun Van Der Westhuizen
A carpenter by trade Shaun did 9 years in United Kingdom and worked for a shop fitting company based in London. With his constant will to learn Shaun came back to South Africa and opened up his own Carpentry business specialising in Kitchens, Built in cupboards and basically anything to do with wood and design. Shaun became a partner in IMS in 2022 where he saw an opportunity for IMS to broaden there expertise. Since then IMS has become a focal figure in kitchen renovations and Carpentry.

IMS is a full-service home and commercial improvement business. From everyday updates to custom renovation and installation projects, our skilled team of consultants and craftsmen are equipped to advise on and handle virtually all of your needs. Typical IMS projects include: bathroom renovations, kitchen updates, custom shelving and built-ins, window and door installation, home exterior restoration, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical and more.
Small enough to care yet big enough to deliver
Depending on the size of the project, work will typically begin one to three weeks after the scope of work is determined.
With IMS, you can select either a fixed price contract or pay on an hourly basis. This is typically determined by the size and scope of the work. If you opt for payment on an hourly basis, you will be given a range of hours based on the work requested.
First of all, rest assured that our client services consultants will listen to your needs and guide you in the right direction. Sometimes your project will require finding a partner to help navigate you through the maze of design, selection, budget and construction options. Typically this applies to the larger, more design-intensive projects. For basic renovations and everyday home improvement projects, the residential division is there for you.
